Facilities Available in the Department

The Department of Orthopedics is fully equipped with all the latest technology in terms of instruments and equipment. A variety of surgeries like joint replacement, arthroscopy, spinal surgeries, bone tumors, and corrective surgery of residual polio deformities are carried out as routine.

To raise the standards in orthopedic care by placing greater value on patient education, offering the most technologically advanced treatment options that are evidence-based combined with innovative thinking and clinical expertise, and creating a practice culture built on service excellence.

Mission

  • To conduct high-end research in Basic Sciences and Clinical Orthopaedics that empower the students and faculty to become excellent clinicians and practicing surgeons.
  • To sensitize the need for innovative thinking and individualizing treatment modalities so that patients get optimal treatment and early restoration of working abilities.
  • To make the dependent independent - to provide comprehensive geriatric orthopedic care and timely management of geriatric fractures.
  • To ensure the budding surgeons develop a patient-centric attitude in delivering orthopedic care in their future career paths.
  • To develop excellence in delivery of ancillary services like physiotherapy, artificial limb center, and occupational therapy.

Governance of College

The college is governed by the Principal. An internal quality assessment cell is present in the department, and departmental meetings are held every 3 months to discuss departmental issues.

IQAC meetings are held every three months in the department. Feedback evaluation forms are obtained from students and discussed. Reports are sent to the IQAC in the college.
